Preparing to come home

Since Dad will be coming home soon, there are a lot of things in the house that need to be changed. Today we brought Dad home for a little while to see how he could get around. It was the first time he has been home since his Aortic Dissection back in November. Bob took the door off the bathroom and talked with Dad's physical therapists about what else needed to change.

Richelle has really helped Emil strengthen his muscles. She also taught him how to transfer from one location to the next. She was very helpful in teaching him how to get around with his limited physical abilities. 

Therapy and Sleep

And he needs to nap.

This is the first time he sat in this chair. It was in his room at Stone Henge and today was the first day he was able to sit/lay comfortably and take a nap.

A Visit from Peter and the Lams

Today was the first day we took Dad home. He didn't feel up to going inside but we did drive past the house. Peter, Bob and Tasha were all here to help.

After we got back from taking him home.

It was so nice to have Peter in town!
