I love you

There isn't a lot to report on today. Dad had an overall good day and has definite improvements. He first got the trach tube removed and then an oxygen mask was put on his face and then later in the day he was switched back to just oxygen tubes to his nose. He's been able to move his feet each time they ask him to and he can move his arms better. He can whisper "yes," and he even said " I love you" tonight. He seems to like holding someone's hand and he will squeeze it quite often as you hold it. He drifts off to sleep quite often but then wakes up often as well.

Uncle Keith, Bob and Preston gave him a priesthood blessing tonight. Keith said in the blessing that dad would be healed, the systems of his body would work, he would continue to regain use of his legs, and that he would be able to support his family, and fulfill his responsibilities as a husband, father, and grandfather.

The lumbar drain is still in and it keeps draining a little bit. The doctor wanted his blood pressure to be a little bit on the high side today to get as much circulation and blood flow to each of his organs.

Mom, Preston, Tasha and I left the hospital around 8:00 pm tonight. Bob will spend the night with him again. The nurses and doctors have been wonderful. We are lucky to have such caring staff.
